  1. I still don't get it. I probably never will. After three seasons, I still don't understand why this is the only TV show deserving of a sit-down coming-out talk with the folks. "Mom... dad... I really like 'Game of Thrones.'" No. Nobody does that. "My name is Jack, and I own every season of 'The Simpsons' on DVD." Really not a confession moment, there. But hey, ponies? That warrants it. Nobody has ever had to open up to their parents about "Happy Days" reruns, now have they? But ponies...

    2. @scribus It's because people are lame and don't have the minimum amount of confidence not to feel paranoid about everything.

    5. @scribus its because its weird for them. Parents grew up in a time when gender roles were practically set in stone. Us liking ponies is just weird.

      1. @techdisk There's nothing wrong with gender roles. The problem is that MLP was awfully "pink" for three decades.

        1. @nerthos that too. MLP was a stone set in concrete firmly on the GIRL side of everything when parents learned about it.

          1. @techdisk Yup. It was the thing boys despised all our childhoods.

      2. @techdisk I agree I could sit down and tell my parents that I absolutely love soap operas in the gayest voice I can but to say I like mlp I can't (although I don't like soap operas... I've never even seen one)

    6. @scribus I never liked when people would refer to it in such a way.
