Ooh, I got a letter from the bood-donation people. Apparently I'm O+, which is good, because it's the most common blood type, so they need the most of it. I got a little card thing too. Also I don't have any diseases.

@rotation Not good enough as in how? Low iron content? Unless you have a genetic predisposition or certain hereditary diseases, that comes and goes. If it is that, and you're still interested, then you can boost your chances by eating a lot that day, getting a lot of sleep, and possibly taking supplements in advance if you follow a weird-diet that leads to iron deficiencies. On the other hand, if you've been flagged for the more "Personal" reasons, then there's not a lot you can do.
-
@rotation Oh? That's interesting. Did they find that after they'd taken it, or was there a pre-test?
-
@rotation I read that as "too slow to clop".
-
@rotation Hm. Unless they do things differently where you are, all they check now is iron quantity, which is why I assumed it was that.
-
@theowl They started that before I'd even donated anything!
-
@ceruleanspark It gets worse from here on out. I have a nice collection of unopened blood letters they've sent me, it's about an inch thick.
-
@thelastgherkin Why do I have Fluttershy's voice in my head saying "NO. You have to clop slowly" now.
Gherkin ☑️ and ★ like this. -
@ceruleanspark OH LORD GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD !AAAAA
-
@theowl Well, I'm not eligible to give again until november, and I already said they could have all my organs, so maybe they'll leave me alone?
-
@thelastgherkin Don't worry. Doctor Fluttershy has it all under control.
-
@ceruleanspark Nah, you just get leaflets talking about how good giving blood is and how you should make your friends do it until November, at which point they start inviting you to their awkwardly-timed donation sessions.
-
@ceruleanspark oh dear
-
@theowl The funny thing is, half my friends are either too gay (Homosexual) or anaemic to give blood, so they're wasting their time there.
-
@theowl didnt you give blood once
-
@morphtronichaybale Yeah, my schedule actually let me go to one of their 'held-either-before-or-after-everybody-finishes-work/college' sessions.
