It’s something people say with the best of intentions, but the phrase just doesn’t deliver a message significant to the show this fandom is based on. Tolerance is a good way to make no progress at all, but at least everyone’s smiling, right? Yeah right. The bottom line is that people should be encouraged to improve their ability to engage with society in what ways they have control over. This can be done nicely and without hate, but requires that people stop blindly accepting every conceivable fault that someone has.
