      @ecmc I need to get around to fully playing it. I played a lot of it back in middle school but I never finished it. I bought it on Steam, so I guess I'd have something to do for times like this.

        @flamingpandaomg I only got it last year and played it quite a bit, but I can't seem to get into it. My main problem is that the fighting mechanics seem really random as I only occassionally hit a target when I'm slashing away in front of them, but I'm probably just doing something wrong. Maybe I should stick to Fallout.

          @ecmc The thing is that Morrowind had a whole missing mechanic where even if you were point blank and swung you had a chance of missing if you didn't have much experience in that weapon skill. It was very... bad. There's a reason why Oblivion and Skyrim don't have it. Also weapon abilities were handled very badly compared to it's successors.

            @flamingpandaomg I see... it's a shame I've seen no one mention that when reccommending Morrowind over the successors. I'll probably end up trying Skyrim once I have a PC for it.

              @ecmc There's a mod for Morrowind which changes the combat system to be more like Oblivion and Skyrim.

                  @ecmc Can't remember. I do know you need one of the DLCs for it to work, I think Tribunal, not certain though.

                    @zeldatra As long as you have the game of the year edition (and I think the steam version has only the GotY edition anyways) you'd have all the expansions.
