          2. @kingcarcinopony # ITT should actually be called a "college."

                1. @scribus here's what's wrong with that program: A) the woman teaching the course has never played a video game. B) they make you take a bunch of classes like 3D modeling and stuff before teaching you how to actually make game engines, do game design, etc. C) in order to get the curriculum changed, 75% of all campuses have to agree to the change.

                  1. @nightwillow That sounds about par for ITT. I'm soured on Java after the book we used was wrong on almost every single example provided. Like, fail to execute wrong.

                    1. @scribus well there's their first problem, teaching programming out of a textbook! when my programming teacher (I had him for 3 years in high school) started teaching there, he went through all the software and all the textbooks, and everything that mentioned Window 98 in the requirements or something got thrown out.

                      1. @nightwillow and actually, i haven't seen a textbook in his class since that first year of him being a teacher

                      2. @nightwillow I'd say that using a textbook's not a problem, but having teachers who just read it in a terribly thick accent and bring nothing of their own to the table is.
