Sleepy times for me. Tomorrow I'm going to start trying to animate this character in the video. Right now he's mostly faceless. http://i.imgur.com/3cgSPRd.png Guess I'll start with just rough expressions and start to refine details as I go on. Hopefully I'll be able to guesstimate when I'll be done with it once I get the hang of it all. #amalealicorn

@coffeecream Considering this is the first time I've had to do this in Premiere or with a video I should probably be a little generous with my time, matching expressions to what's said. @zeldatra Hey you're a guy. When you record lines, do you have a rough idea of how the character saying it is going to express him/herself beforehand? Do you find it hard matching lines to expressions sometimes?

@coffeecream All the time! I take a look at the script, a lot of times I gotta use context or something. Sometimes it helps if I draw out the character's face, so I can match a visible expression to the line. Dunno how much that helps you.

@zeldatra All of my lines are recorded before animation begins, so sketching faces really helps me.

@zeldatra I guess what I could do is since there are a lot of different assets for the face that just sort of slot into place (and there's Flash if I need more) I can always play around with different combinations for a given line until it 'looks right' when watching it back.
