    3. @awlapplejack Old Tom and Jerry is one of my favourite things, if you've ever watched the older ones look up Mice Follies, The Little Orphan or The Cat Concerto, I can almost guarantee you know all of them and probably like them a lot too

      1. @scoot With the old cartoon talk you reminded me I should try to find all of Popeye

        1. @nerthos That's one I should look up at some point, I haven't seen any in some time

          1. @scoot It's my favourite of all the old cartoons.

            1. @nerthos I think it's a toss up for me between old Tom and Jerry or old Looney Tunes.

      2. @scoot I actually heard someone once complain that Tom & Jerry were ripping off Itchy & Scratchy from the Simpsons...

        1. @colfax Are they dead? If not I'll add that to my to-do list.

      3. @scoot I'll adjust, I hope. If not I can at least find something to help me sleep.

        1. @coffeecream If you find a good way to fall asleep that isn't medication, let me know.

            1. @nerthos Not only do I not have any handy, I also just don't especially seek out alcohol alone, I only drink it in company.

              1. @scoot The few times I had any trouble sleeping a shot of chocolate liquor fixed it, but that's just me.

    4. @awlapplejack You've not seen Mice Follies before? Easily my favourite of all of Tom and Jerry. Also, no problem! :)

    5. @awlapplejack Dang :( it's such a pretty one. Others I would recommend would be Life with Tom or Mouse for Sale; although I'll stop there or I'll be here all day

    6. @awlapplejack (All the ones I've recommended are from the late 40s and early 50s)

    7. @awlapplejack The description must have been lying, Cat Concerto is 1954, Mice Follies is 1947 and The Little Orphan is 1949. In the 1960s, they got two totally different teams in, one was a little European team who did a 13 episode reboot, then afterwards they got Chuck Jones in to do it, who was notably the director of Looney Tunes at the time; bringing with him a whole new art style.

    8. @awlapplejack I honestly wish I knew everything about old cartoons

Saturday, 07-Sep-13 01:20:16 UTC from web
    9. @awlapplejack I just wish I knew a way to pour all this information into my head and keep it there, accessible at any time instead of just sporadically when I'm reminded of it
