Notices

  1. The latest in dumb useless userscripts: something to keep notice timestamps updated. Now it'll say how long ago a notice was /actually posted/ instead of a wall of "a few seconds ago"s like you'd get after a while of realtime notices! http://scootaloo.srb2.org/junk/updatetimestamps.user.js !coderpony

    1. @redenchilada ... I actually wanted something like this for a while.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:06:42 UTC from web
    2. @redenchilada Even though I did add it and reloaded the page and it doesn't seem to be working for me. Not sure though.

      1. @flamingpandaomg Give it a minute to see if it works. It obviously won't be apparent until timestamps actually change.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:12:46 UTC from web
        1. @redenchilada I added it the second your notice came up on the timeline. Nothing's changed since the reload.

          1. @flamingpandaomg Huh. It works fine on my end.

            1. @redenchilada Could it be because I use the pop-out timeline maybe?

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:15:16 UTC from web
              1. @flamingpandaomg It /shouldn't/ be affected by that... Gimme a second.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:16:19 UTC from web
              2. @flamingpandaomg ...What timezone are you using in your account settings? (If you wave over a timestamp, the very end of the tooltip text will show it.) I think it's actually having issues with timezones that aren't GMT-5 for some reason... lemme look at that a bit.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:23:06 UTC from web
                1. @redenchilada Right now it's set to America/Chicago, says 23:06-05:00 when I highlight over a timestamp.

                  1. @flamingpandaomg Okay, uh... try redownloading. Maybe I fixed it.

                      1. @flamingpandaomg WELL THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME THAT EARLIER.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:32:05 UTC from web
                        1. @redenchilada It didn't pop up the first time, like I just explained.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:32:53 UTC from web
                        2. @redenchilada Your script is working perfectly since the first time.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:34:29 UTC from web
                      2. @flamingpandaomg Try it again.

                      3. @flamingpandaomg Wait why the actual Fluffle Puff are you double-clicking the file and trying to execure it that way

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:33:57 UTC from web
                        1. @redenchilada I HAVE to. If I try to let it install directly from that site, Chrome denies it and pops up with this: http://ur1.ca/ffc1v

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:35:45 UTC from web
                          1. @flamingpandaomg Double-clicking it doesn't install it in the browser you dumbass. That executes it with some weird Windows program that literally nothing ever uses.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:36:50 UTC from web
                            1. @redenchilada I'd REALLY appreciate it if you didn't call me a dumbass. Thanks.

                              1. @flamingpandaomg Is dumbdonkey fine

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:38:02 UTC from web
                                1. @nerthos No because it's not expected of me to know everything about cherrying userscripts. GOD forbid someone doesn't know how to install userscripts because it suddenly makes them a dumbass.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:39:23 UTC from web
                                  1. @flamingpandaomg What do you have against mentally challenged asses. Are you racist or womething?

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:39:56 UTC from web
                                  2. @flamingpandaomg I had that problem just now trying to install it in Chrome to test it and the "Learn more" link in the popup explained how to circumvent it in the simplest language ever.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:40:48 UTC from web
                                    1. @redenchilada You could have just said something along those lines instead of immediately belittling me. THAT'S what I have an issue about. Not that I couldn't figure it out but instead of being a regular person and pointing out what I did wrong, you had to call me a dumbass when it was a simple mistake. It's the way you went about it. You don't see me calling you a dumbass anytime you don't understand something, do you? I expect equal treatment when it comes to respect.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:43:53 UTC from web
                                      1. @flamingpandaomg I'd assumed you already knew how to install them. Your joining in on FrankerZ jokes made me think you had the Twitch emotes userscript installed. I wasn't aware you hadn't installed one before.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:46:13 UTC from web
                                        1. @redenchilada No, I never have installed a userscript before. I joined in on the jokes because I knew what it was symbolizing. I hadn't installed the Twitch userscript either.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:47:41 UTC from web
                                          1. @flamingpandaomg Well.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:48:11 UTC from web
                              2. @flamingpandaomg Then learn how to install a userscript next time before I spend half an hour trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:38:53 UTC from web
                                1. @redenchilada Okay I kiwiing apologize. Next time I just won't bother with it.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:39:34 UTC from web
                      4. @flamingpandaomg Settings > Extensions, then drag the script onto Chrome. That should let you install it properly. P.S. consider installing Tampermonkey.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:35:57 UTC from web
                    2. @redenchilada I realized that it never added the script the first time. When I downloaded the script a little popup saying that installing scripts isn't possible from that website. Probably something to do with security? Iunno.

Sunday, 08-Sep-13 08:31:59 UTC from web
    3. @redenchilada I just want to say that this is a brilliant script and I love you.
