  1. Hmm....I'm a bit lighter than I thought I was, 18 stone and 12... Some measurement or another according to the scales in our bathroom. Still not good though. :/ Bugger it, I need to give the gyn a 3rd try (the same one I went to first time) and even if my friend doesn't want to I will anyway, and NOT BLOODY GIVE UP THIS TIME *smacks himself across tge head*

    1. @leonkfox go running every day. I MEAN EVERY SINGLE DAY. Trust me, it works!

      1. @ignaesia My stamina isn't good enough for me to run for long periods of time. May start off power walking and progressivley work towards running.

        1. @leonkfox of course I wouldn't expect you to do full on sprints immediately! My point is, don't do the typical thing of going out once every other day as you'll eventually start skipping extra days and stopping altogether (this ALWAYS happens). Make it part of your daily routine instead, as soon as you get home from work/college/school/whatever you do, go out for your 30mins walk/jog/run then take a shower afterward and enjoy the evening. It's as typical part of your day as eating dinner.

          1. @ignaesia I don't really have a daily routine as of now, I'll just have to set a consistent time for me to leave and do it.

    2. @leonkfox There's a book "The 4 Hour Body". It's worth a read if you're planning a fitness routine. Just don't buy any of the RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE CRAP he tries to sell in there.

      1. @ceruleanspark Who is "he" in this situation?

Monday, 08-Aug-11 19:36:24 UTC from MuSTArDroid
        1. @leonkfox The author. He suggests things like getting a genetic sequencing done to see what the best techniques for you are. Because everyone can afford to spend 5 figures on that kind of thing.

          1. @ceruleanspark While that does sound like a great idea, as you can imagine I can't afford it. Not by a long shot.

            1. @leonkfox Yeah, if you avoid anything he suggests that involves needles, olympic trainers, or medical testing, you'll probably be fine.

              1. @ceruleanspark Alright :) Got a link to an official site or something?

        2. @leonkfox But if you ignore the ridiculous stuff, his core advice is solid.
