  1. fair enough but don't think that makes it acceptable to be mean all the time. It's not us bing sensitive, it's us being normal when a jerk always acts like a jerk to recognize that he is a jerk and not like him very much as a result.

      2. @kingcarcinopony yeah, but it's kind of like popping bubblewrap you need. fun while it lasts but then if you ever need the stuff you won't have it. Plus it's exchanging potentially years of enjoyment for just a few seconds of enjoyment.

      3. @kingcarcinopony think of it as winning a lottery each time you interact with someone new. you can accept the lump sum, getting it all at once, or you can be paid a much larger um over a longer period of time. instant gratification versus larger gains
