  1. Quote from a friend on facebook: "Fact: That was the strongest earthquake in Virginia since 1897. Fact: It was a 5.8, which is more than 10 times stronger than a 4.5, the point at which buildings fall. Opinion: We are extremely lucky that it hit Louisa County, a place where there aren't many buildings or people. Disclaimer: That's not to say that I don't care about Louisa. We're planning on heading over there later this week to help with damages and reconstruction."

        1. @haganbmj FACT: when a dumb grapes starts a sentence with "FACT:" it probably isn't a fact. FACT: It was a 5.9 not a 5.8 FACT: 5.8 is not 10 times larger than 4.5 FACT: 5.8(the incorrect number) is 20 times larger than 4.5 FACT: 5.9(the actual magnitude) is 25 times larger than 4.5 I love the irony of me adding FACT the beinning of all of those.

          2. @queenstarlightbolt I find it funny how everyone goes batmangoes insane over an earthquake. I'm from Southern California. You can throw a stone in any direction and it'll hit a fault line. I don't even get out of bed for anything under a four pointer.

              1. @queenstarlightbolt Hahah yeah. 5.9 is pretty solid quake. Also, for that magnitude, it was pretty shallow, too.

            2. @gear I had fun watching people lose their minds outside my window when it happened, you'd have thought the world was ending.

                1. @gear It's been two years since I've lived here in the Midwest and tornadoes still spook the hay out of me! I grew up in Lakewood - suburban city near Long Beach and the ocean in LA County. It's a world apart from here in Indiana! You? :D
