@equestriagaming I originally responded to the RUMOR of the skullgirls IP being also used in addition to the engine. I know what an engine is. But the question is, do you make sure you understand the context of statements before you jump on someone with comments like that?

@equestriagaming I think their point is something like "If I wanted to play a fighting game that didn't have ponies, I'd play one of the numerous, professionally produced games that are out right now." That's my guess anyway.

@equestriagaming It's developed its community around "being a pony fangame", though, even though it isn't any more. And I honestly think the change has (unfortunately) decreased the size of said community, making it even less likely that they can come up with the funds in time. I do realize there's also the actual Skullgirls community to put money in toward that (because their campaign just needs to reach the goal - the Mane6 community itself doesn't have to raise all of that) but... I personally wouldn't hold out hope.
