@frostbitepuck @atticus well, linking all this information, i can clearly assume that this pony was murdered. Maybe not by another pony, but any other kind of conscient animal or mitical being.. Dragon claws can rip easily almos anything, if you catch my drift.

Well, as much i can say, there was a murder. Even tough the main suspect is unknown, there is still evidences and investigations to do. Looks like this place is not as peacefull as everyone says.
