@zimzap my big current fascination in science currently is what we're going to do about the sun. No matter what we achieve as a species, that sun will evebtually die/supernova/blackhole/etc, so in the next few thousands years our human race should put some quality time aside in finding possible ways to colonize another system so we have the opportunity to survive the erratic nature of heavenly bodies.
