My apologies for being away for too long. I've been battling with myself for a while, did some brain squeezing and soul searching, and perhaps it's not Twilight-like, but more and more I get the impression my future isn't in academics. I love doing research, but cannot deal with the uncertainty and politics of research funding. I'm the happiest when I'm on horseback, or on Ruby's side. So perhaps my future lies more with equine work (if possible social science like, but hands on would be great too) than with sociology. A while ago I did the Pony Personality Test. Result: I'm a crossover between Twilight and Applejack. Maybe I've more Applejack traits in me than I thought at first. Or am I wrong?
