@abigpony confidence has nothing to do with my acute awareness of what I am or not capable of. I never liked the common way the term confidence is used because when people use the word in this context they mean you're supposed to act like you'll succeed when you're not actually certain, and that acting will actually create the certainty of success. So it's like a catch 22, and also doesn't take into account more objective self-appraisals. Also, aren't you still in high school? It's easier to be confident when you don't know your limits. Aka, it's easy for high schoolers to act or feel confident or talk about it recklessly.
