  1. @1greg1 Depends on who you talk to. LibreOffice is replacing OpenOffice in a lot of Linux distros because LibreOffice is completely open source, GPL v3, a new fork of OpenOffice. OpenOffice has some proprietary code that Oracle won't release, and there have been rumblings about the future of the project too. So it is still alive, but who knows for how long.
