@tara E3 is a press event, there's a difference. Conventions have huge rooms with vendors who sell all sorts of merch at (sometimes) competing prices, big room for artists who sell their fanart (and some of it is actually good), video rooms to watch shows or movies, cosplay contests and meetups, karaoke (which I do), panel segments to learn things about things, meeting voice actors and other important people, big dances with loud music and also concerts, a huge room with video games set up, a huge room with tons of tables to play board games and card games, and pricey food.
