I was gonna say, there is a no way a non-professional artist needs anything more than a Wacom Bamboo (or equivalent, but that's the brand I know and use, so it's the one I'll name), and that's only like £50. Even allowing for the fact I don't know the exact price conversion, I can be pretty sure that's not close to $300.
