@minti Yeah they're a thing. Parents sign over temporary guardianship of the kids to these things, they come to your house whilst you're asleep, have two burly gentlemen cuff you and throw you in a van, drive and or fly you to the middle of nowhere, where you are literally brainwashed into doing whatever the camp was about. The signover of guardianship is so that if an escapee tries to contact the police, the police take you to the camp, not your real parents, and so that the camp can have you classified as a runaway to get police assistance in getting you back. It's sick and I'm shocked that it remains legal.
