@gladosenchilada @anarchycarcino I personally think the problem with this degradation in concurrent releases of a game series is this "innovation whoring" thing that people have these days. If a game is great, don't redesign it for the sequel. Just apply newer technology to it, and a new story arc. That way you can't mess up, and the people who liked Regular Game 1 will like Regular Game 2 too.
