    @rotation I went to the railway station on Tuesday and asked the young fellow for a return to London. Fifteen and six he told me. I handed over a guinea and waited for my change. Imagine my embarassment when he told me he'd meant to say fifteen pounds! I was utterly shocked. I know fellows who don't make that in a month. Needless to say I turned on my heels and walked away in a brisk fashion, then had a servant draft a letter to the London and Midland Railway company with most haste.
