    @ceruleanspark Depends which Battlefield. BF2 shotguns were good, the 2142 one was usable. BC had balanced shotguns because they were a primary weapon for a class. BC2 was fine to start with, but then some latency updates caused Buckshot to be unreliable. BF3 is pretty crap, but the pump shotguns are rather good, as is the Benelli M4. The rest don't do enough damage. The problem for BF3 was that the weapon balance is completely awful.
