Rarity and Fluttershy continue their spa dates out of duty though no longer derive enjoyment or meaning from them. Pinkie Pie's smiles turn from gifts into a defensive mechanism. Rainbow Dash withdraws completely, showing up only out of feeling pressured to keep the group together. The four of them can't tell if Applejack's furious working is out of a complete disconnect or an attempt to hide from reminders of their happier days. And this whole time, Celestia debates telling them the truth.
