I bought it up, not in an accusation sort of way, but he added that he got annoyed because we had a conversation when I was stupidly tired, so tired that I totally forgot about it and even passed out during said conversation, and in said conversation I said I wanted to go (and obviously forgot I had no money) and he admitted he was having a paddy and that he does it on occasion. I'm glad this went so much better than I had been expecting, and so easily as well. It seems he had thought about it before I arrived, I'm glad he was man enough to admit to his mistake and apologise for it :)
