@mushi It's interesting to chart the streamlining process of the Mother series from 1 to 3, where from game to game level design and world-building become more focused and succinct while also eliminating facets that are only extraneously difficult like encounter mechanics. The addition of running in Mother 3 specifically is a nice touch too, I like how you have to hold down B before actually running, it puts a lot of weight in your step and feels satisfying to perform.
