@slimgrin I'm kind of the same, I tend to hop between a ton of different styles of games and try not to pigeon hole my tastes too much, even if I end up not loving everything. Most of my favourites end up being games with writing I find compelling (games like Undertale come to mind for this) but I also engage with a ton of games just as the viscerally fun pieces of media they tend to be. You mentioning Cave Story already puts you in my good books too, that's one of my all time favourites.
