I don't particularly care about race or sexual orientation issues, as far as I'm concerned everyone can have whatever opinion they want on these topics from full support to hatred, as long as they don't take it to a physical level and start making pogroms and refusing service in businesses. But I do have very strong opinions on how democracy is abused and how idiots cause good people to be at the mercy of whatever ill intentioned hypocrite is in power at the time, so I can sympathize with that feeling of being screwed.
