I was just watching a documentary on van gogh and contemporary artists, and they were talking about how they intended to have a colony of exclusively artists. I was mentioning to family how that seemed like a terrible idea as artists are 1) usually unstable and prone to stupid actions if without supervision and 2) most of them are incompetent when it comes to things like house maintenance. Then they mentioned how van gogh chased one of his friends off with a shaving razor and that caused the colony to fail, completely proving my point.
