  1. When someone is given admin or moderation rights on the internet, it's like giving someone a stick when everyone else doesn't have a stick, and when given a stick, people usually do one of three things; They get all lawful good on your dole and think 'I am the stickholder and I was given this stick to uphold the rules of this forum/IRC/photo board! It is my duty to protect this IPs valour!'. Other people Will go 'Oh, cool. I have a stick. This will be handy for subduing hostile persons and will provide support when I walk up a hill'. The most common reaction, however is 'Whoa! I have a stick! I have an advantage over other people, I will use this to uphold my LAW!', then they walk around with the stick held high, brandishing it in front of people, and using it to enforce their own personal bias. It's the primary reason I'm not active on a lot of forums.
