Send mordin with the rescued crew as an escort because he's the most likely to did at the end, and the escort to the ship is a free pass for whoever goes. plus have your other statisticaly weakest people fight with you against the human reaper (JACK + TALI) also make sure you pick either jack or samara for the force field as they are the most powerful biotics. pick miranda every time for fire team leader. and pick either legion or tali to close the vents, doing all that your "hold the line team" will be powerful enough at the end to all survive
