> I see that you are having problems with logical conclusions.
@ani @ferretsyndicate The one who made this logical conclusion based on your assertions in this thread is I.
> Augusto Pinochet is a person that I have little knowledge around, he seemed to be anti socialist more than anti communist but definitely not a humanist and I guess he was really an anarcho capitalist.
Augusto Pinochet got particularily infamous for the things he did to "save the country from communism".
> he seemed to be anti socialist more than anti communist
@ani Since no distinctions were made between various ideologies collected under the "communism" umbrella, Mikhail Bakunin and Kim Il Sung undistinguished, I don't see in what way is a socialism/communism distinction any different. -
> Not bad! Thought it was less than that :)
@6gain He-he, there's hope for us yet :-).
> maybe we need a gathering place. Is the old XMPP room still alive?
Well, I never cared about it even when it was around, it didn't even occur to me when I got the chance to revive the XMPP service.
gnusocial@conference.bka.li should be sufficient, I think. -
> It's too bad that communism logically means anti-humanism
@ani @ferretsyndicate Attach a definition of communism.
> and thus if you label yourself an anti-communist you are a humanist defined. ????
Such as Augusto Pinochet and Adolf Hitler. -

@6gain Hm, around 15, I think.
-
@6gain But I get the feeling that I'm forgetting about a lot of pet, so probably more :-).

> and it turns out that our server doesn't support IPv6.
@bedap That's no big deal. The only reason this is a problem is because the domain advertises an IPv6 address with an AAAA record.
Just remove the invalid IP address from DNS, and it'll all be good :-).-
@bedap @mangeurdenuage It has been resolved, thank you.

-
@bedap @mangeurdenuage Still a problem…
-
@fribbledom I barely know what Facebook looks like.

@ani What is your objective?

@ani https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangalore In India.

@ani Don't reply to spam. I guess it slipped through.

@lain Opened the link just to check if it's Pet Shop Boys :-).

@mangeurdenuage Hi. sunbeam.city is not reachable through IPv6, that's the problem.
For now I've hardcoded the IPv4 address in the hosts file. I really don't want to disable IPv6 on the server. Luckily, this doesn't happen as often as it once did.
@bedap, if you read this, please fix the AAAA DNS record. -

@moonman I'm just implying that if they don't block HTTPS, then they don't truly block !xmpp either.
It is possible to connect to XMPP through the 443 port, and it's possible to stream it through HTTPS with WebSockets or BOSH.
It's possible to block even that, but I somehow doubt they have DPI of this level (or any) ;-). -
@moonman Someone's blocking your XMPP?
Four words: DirectTLS, sslh, WebSockets/BOSH. -
> The 'is there a nuclear explosion' category has a large number of yes votes for My Little Pony and I can't say I've seen it, but this seems astonishingly unlikely.
@celesteh https://loadaverage.org/url/5146387 -
@moonman Ah, now your dent makes sense :-).
-
@moonman How can it have been young if I've been on the Fediverse for longer before February 2016 than after :-P?
-
> My neighbor now believes aliens built all the pyramids on Earth because the History Channel told her so.
@moonman Ridiculous. The pyramids were not built by aliens, they were built by popadantsy transported back in time in a freak accident.
Unfortunately, all the evidence like monuments to Viktor Tsoi never made it to our time. -
@xj9 @lnxw37a1 Some (outdated) Pleromas have a broken OStatus implementation.
Turns out, in this case that is the culprit. Again.- maiyannah repeated this.
-
@xj9 You really should be able to.
-
@samir @chimo If it helps, that's how I adjusted it: https://paste.debian.net/1074976
I've installed the dependencies from the distribution's repository, so I had to adapt it for newer ReactPHP Socket and Ratchet.
I also found that the current approach isn't flexible when it comes to reverse proxying, so that's another change.
I wonder if maybe the URL path should rather be something like /main/_ws rather than just /_ws, to avoid collisions with usernames. -
@samir I've tried to set up @chimo's https://code.chromic.org/chimo/gs-wsRealtime, but it refuses to work reliably for me…
-
@maiyannah I was honestly disgusted earlier at a local news anchor praising the measure with a "journalists and content creators get no revenue for social media sharing and now facebook and google will have to pay them, this is great" speech.

Got these two cables to replace the wire of my headphones. Silicone coating instead of rubber, high quality. The black one is much nicer looking, but has 4 wires so it can only support the headphones. The orange one has five so it can support stereo headphones and a microphone, but is heavier and was used in an industrial welding area so it's not super pretty. I could try to use the common wire for both mic and speakers but I don't have a composite jack port on the computer and I'm not sure if it works with two separate jacks.
The connectors are compatible between both so that's not an issue, they'd connect to the same port.
Anyone experienced in audio hardware around?

@nerthos Basically my question is, will this configuration work or do I need to lay two separate ground circuits for it?
I simplified the L/R wiring, I know that it wouldn't work without the extra bridge between speakers, but it's not important to this question. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/874159

@samir I suppose XMPP.

The failure that was the last week of printing https://imgur.com/a/5nlwxT6 I underestimated the side forces too much.

@nerthos Bamboo comes highly recommended for many applications.

@scribus Yeah but it's much harder to use for something like that. 90º angles and rails are super easy on steel frame.

@nerthos True.

@scribus Slappy, basically. A fat man slapping his belly gently could do the same sound

@nerthos @adiwan We ended up getting a 4lb bucket of slime, it makes a great wet slap for breasts OR tentacles!

@scribus The combined sound of a really cartoonish "Boing" and balloons that are being pumped up.
