  1. @foxox This is true. I remember I started really learning the applications of this stuff when we did raycasting in CS class in high school. Funny story about that - In English class, we read that Victorian era people believed that light was cast from one's eyes, instead of reflected off of surfaces. i.e., Victorians believed in raycasting.

  2. @foxox This is very true. I guess what I was getting at was, it sounded like @carcinopony was talking about linear equations in an introductory context, i.e. hasn't been introduced to linear algebra yet. I may be wrong though.

  3. @foxox Linear algebra and linear equations are really different. Lin Alg is like.. matrices and vectors. Linear equations are 1st order polynomials.

  10. @foxox Oh, that doesn't count then. It has to be continuous and u can't get out of range from hearing it from the initial source. Like if you have to go out for something, and u take your phone and listen, that doesn't count together. it stops, then starts again on a new source
