  1. @swampson that's not a false sense of security at all are you kidding me? Living in the most powerful nation that was founded on the principles of freedom, and defends them everyday it's a pretty good reason to feel secure. Also the way our government works prevents us from losing our freedom to the Government. The only way I ever see this nation being free is if a military occupation happens which is incredibly unlikely. Also I have never had anyone in my family including extended family have to deal with anything that encroaches on our rights. Anonymous gets a small thing and blows it out of proportion and starts all this propaganda that Sony is trying to violate your rights and the government is gonna steal this right and so on. When it is a load of extremist bull hockey just to get people to unite behind their cause for their own personal agenda.

  4. @swampson I'm not saying be a good child your whole life I'm saying if your not doing anything like hacking a massive corporations and their products you and things like that you shouldn't be worrying about every little thing thinking that everyone is out to steal your rights. That's why I live in America so I don't have to worry about stuff like that. Plus if you did nothing wrong and something infringes on your rights than you take them to court and fight for them. But you shouldn't start fighting for them unless they are violated, which is what Anonymous did and does which in my eyes makes them radicals.

  5. @swampson I've debated and argued so much now that it doesn't affect me, I just enjoy it when I get to debate viewpoints with others in a mature manner.

  6. @swampson That's a completely different subject! It's silly to even think Sony could get away with something like that! Your rights are something that can't be taken away unless you have done something that's causes you to lose them. Rights aren't privileges And plus how the hell would Sony have the power to do that?! They are a Japanese company that doesn't have any say in what goes on here. Also I'm not saying don't protect your rights I'm saying you shouldn't have to worry about them all the time unless you have done something illegal!

  10. @swampson No worries. It's not meant to be a threat. I just noticed that someponies are taking the discussion pretty seriously. That's all. Also, I can't direct message some of you (still haven't fixed that), so I can't ask if you're doing alright and if it's not getting too personal. Hence the blanket statement. No individual is getting booted, just the discussion. You're all good ponies.

  11. @swampson Cyberterrorism can be defined as any computer crime targeting computer networks without necessarily affecting real world infrastructure, property, or lives. But in the case of Sony it actually did affect real world infrastructure, property, and lives.

  13. @swampson There was news coverage a little while ago over Sony employees being threatened with attacks, with supposedly attempts to attack even Howard Stringer's children.

  14. @swampson You're right, no one's life is at stake, but if I'm correct, didn't Anon threaten certain employees? Are you trying to imply this is OK?

  15. @swampson That's all a load of bull and you know it. Anonymous is made up of people with their own personal agendas and it's obvious. Someone get mad because they can't play pirated games anymore so they go to anonymous and make a group of people with the similar problem, and then they hack to theirs hearts content nit caring about anyone else but them selves which to me makes them radicals. Also if you haven't done anything wrong that would possibly affect your rights why would you need to protect them? It's not like companies have that sort of power. Only the government does and if you haven't done anything that would risk you losing said rights than the government won't allow some company to infringe on them.

  16. @swampson I do not question why Anon does it - surely there are some things Sony needs to fix. However, what I do not support is cyber terrorism, and generally illegal actions against these corporations as a method of attaining that goal.

  18. @swampson I have no problem with the concept of being Anonymous I have a problem with the group of Internet radicals that think everything is going to some how infringe upon their rights

  19. @swampson Yah I said that before. That's also my point. Anonymous says they didn't hack Sony but how can we trust them if anyone can come and go and do what they please?
