  1. @abigpony Oh how I wish that was true. xD

  3. Nothing like cheap beer and Fallout: Equestria to finish off a good day.

  4. @rotation Not really, it was more from just sheer boredom.

  6. Welp, it's 2am and I'm pooped. It was fun talking to everyone again. G'night!

  7. @extremedash Also, living here in the great USA still doesn't guarantee that you'll be completely free forever. Nothing can do that. To think that just because you reside in a nation that boasts "home of the free" means you'll never have to worry about your rights is ludicrous to say the least. That's just a false-sense of security.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 06:01:00 UTC from web in context
  8. So you're saying you should only fight for your rights if they're violated?

  9. Curse my nocturnal habits and my diurnal friends. Now I'm lonely. :V

  10. And let's not forget the bank owners that continued to hand out bonuses while the rest of the country dropped into unemployment and homelessness.

  11. @extremedash I mean come on. If you need evidence of how cruel and selfish corporations can be, just look at the last few years. The BP oil spill is a great example as well as the big debacle on Wall Street.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:49:10 UTC from web in context
  12. @philosodash I know, that's what makes it so exciting!

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:47:22 UTC from web in context
  13. @extremedash You should always worry about your rights. Did you forget about the Patriot Act? Just following the stream of worker ants and playing "good-child" your whole life in hopes that your rights will be protected because of it is nonsensical to say the least. Sony itself probably won't be doing anything to harm our rights because they're a tech company, but other corporations will and have in the past.

  14. @basil It'll cost more money than the laptop's worth to fix and update it.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:43:23 UTC from web in context
  15. @philosodash Oh mine did. I LOVE discussions like these. I get rather excited. It's all in good fun though.

  16. @extremedash @philosodash Guys, we're cool right? We're about to get booted but I thought we were having a rather mature debate going on.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:39:16 UTC from web in context
  17. @drewdle Whoa whoa, we're not like flaming each other or anything. I think this is a pretty tame discussion. It isn't personal or anything.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:37:41 UTC from web in context
  18. @basil Ouch, it might've been time for a new laptop a while ago.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:36:29 UTC from web in context
  19. @philosodash But there's no way to link that back to anyone. That's the issue. There's no way to link ANY threats with any of the hackers. That said, mainstream media is the last place I'd go for coverage on anything Internet or Tech.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:35:52 UTC from web in context
  20. @extremedash Please, tell me you're joking. You should ALWAYS fight to protect your rights, even if you aren't doing anything "wrong". Also, the government bends over backwards for corporations constantly. Do you have any idea how many bills get shot down because of behind-the-door money exchanges?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:33:58 UTC from web in context
  21. @basil There might be a few other things you can change before getting a replacement. Before that though, may I ask how old it is?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:31:50 UTC from web in context
  22. @philosodash They aren't threatening anyone with violence. There hasn't been a case that I'm aware of where a group of "Anons" have threatened an employee with an actual physical act of violence.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:30:02 UTC from web in context
  23. @nvrrmbr They weren't even encrypting passwords! Every basic forum does that!

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:29:04 UTC from web in context
  24. @philosodash You keep calling it cyber-terrorism when it isn't terrorism. Terrorism is an act of violence to scare others. Nothing done in this case was violent.

  25. @sparklehooves Hey, it isn't Applejack so you don't have to feel bad about stealing the Element of Honesty. lol

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:26:50 UTC from web in context
  26. @philosodash The "means" in these two different types of "terrorism" are completely different though. No one's life is at stake here.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:24:08 UTC from web in context
  27. @philosodash Even that is up for debate in every college campus and lecture around the world.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:22:56 UTC from web in context
  28. @extremedash And I think to call them radicals would be a bit extreme. They aren't irrational, but it isn't like you can just walk up to world governments and powerful corporations and say, "Hey, could you not be so evil and selfish?"

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:21:35 UTC from web in context
  29. @extremedash But there are causes that Anon has backed to protect specific rights that no one else is willing to stand up for. While everyone is sitting around taking everything corporations stick in them, there are people that are fighting for the masses.
