    1. @extremedash high fives! Anyone?... anyone?...

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:38:41 UTC from StatusNet Android
      1. @carcinopony NO. YOU GET NONE.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:39:32 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
      2. @carcinopony They just released another video and they were like "Don't be mad, but were just getting started with Sony." and I was like FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:40:18 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
        1. @extremedash I can't decide if I like being anonymous or not.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:41:48 UTC from StatusNet Android
          1. @carcinopony Idk I understand what their doing but it really is only hurting the gamers. I mean only like 10% of PSN gamers wanted to jail break their PS3 anyways so I think they should just get over it

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:44:30 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
            1. @extremedash I mean, I'm not a ps3 guy and I love Trolling. But I dunno, sometimes it can be bad.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:45:53 UTC from StatusNet Android
              1. @carcinopony I thinks it's pretty bad when you force a company to lose over a 100 mil. That's probably taking it to far.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:48:20 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                1. @extremedash I regret nothing. Except not #

    2. @extremedash It wasn't Anonymous by the way. Trust me, I'm an insider.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:39:13 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
      1. @nvrrmbr An insider?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:40:54 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
        1. @extremedash Yeah, part of it.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:41:13 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
          1. @nvrrmbr Your a part of anonymous?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:42:43 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
            1. @extremedash Yeas I am.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:43:43 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
              1. @nvrrmbr I thought anonymous worked by not having any real members or leaders? I thought it was just a organization where people come and go.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:46:26 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                1. @extremedash At some point the definition of the term stopped being "someone who posts stuff anonymously" and turned into some sort of Boy Scout merit badge or something.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:47:52 UTC from web
                  1. @starshine Well I think they take stuff to far.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:51:57 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                    1. @extremedash I think the whole conversation has drifted into fairly dumb territory, and I'm not going with it. G'night.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:54:43 UTC from web
                      1. @starshine Goodnight!

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:56:07 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                2. @extremedash we are. You can't be a faceless organization with a leader. That's illogical.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:48:04 UTC from StatusNet Android
                  1. @carcinopony Are you in anonymous as well?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:49:46 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                    1. @extremedash I was. But its not like you ever leave. Like a secret club of jerks.

                      1. @carcinopony Their starting to apples me off, but I guess that's what their trying to do.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:53:08 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                        1. @extremedash that's exactly what they are trying to do.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:54:17 UTC from StatusNet Android
                3. @extremedash Disjointed organization as it t'were. But yeas, ive been from Anonymous from the start.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:48:06 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                  1. @nvrrmbr No offense intended towards you personally, but I can't understand an organization that would stand up for things they believe are right but wouldn't also claim responsibility for the things they do. To me it seems cowardly.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:50:12 UTC from web
                    1. @drewdle I take no offense in that. I'm just a drone in a colony of drones.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:51:36 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                  2. @nvrrmbr I agree most of the stuff they do but all this Sony drama needs to stop. It's just ridiculous now.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:50:58 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                    1. @extremedash I hope you do know that it wasn't us, right?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:52:23 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                      1. @nvrrmbr It may not have been you guys who did the hacking but it was you guys who gave the other hackers the idea to hack Sony and steal all of our personal information. If you guys wouldn't have freaked out about the whole Geohot thing than none of this would have happened

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:57:18 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                        1. @extremedash I pledge innocence. I was just minding my own business with my Computer and Xbox 360, honest.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:59:18 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                        2. @extremedash We didn't give the idea to steal information. We members of Anonymous wouldn't do that. Sure, we are to blame for giving them the idea, but the data stealing was of their own accord.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 04:59:44 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                          1. @nvrrmbr And whose to say members of anonymous weren't also apart of the group that stole the personal info. And didn't you guys also get hacked by people in anonymous like 2 or 3 weeks ago? So how can we trust the words of a bunch of faceless hackers?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:03:29 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                            1. @extremedash You know that Anonymous isn't an organized group of hackers right?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:04:53 UTC from web
                              1. @swampson Yah I said that before. That's also my point. Anonymous says they didn't hack Sony but how can we trust them if anyone can come and go and do what they please?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:07:46 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                1. @extremedash Why would you trust ANYONE on the Internet? I mean, everyone in the world can be Anonymous. I think it's a good thing though. The second we lose the option of anonymity we also lose a great power.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:11:11 UTC from web
                                  1. @swampson I have no problem with the concept of being Anonymous I have a problem with the group of Internet radicals that think everything is going to some how infringe upon their rights

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:17:33 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                    1. @extremedash But there are causes that Anon has backed to protect specific rights that no one else is willing to stand up for. While everyone is sitting around taking everything corporations stick in them, there are people that are fighting for the masses.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:19:54 UTC from web
                                      1. @swampson The ends do not justify the means.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:21:19 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                        1. @philosodash Even that is up for debate in every college campus and lecture around the world.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:22:56 UTC from web
                                          1. @swampson I do not question why Anon does it - surely there are some things Sony needs to fix. However, what I do not support is cyber terrorism, and generally illegal actions against these corporations as a method of attaining that goal.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:26:33 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                            1. @philosodash It's not like we can ask "can you leave our personal info alone?"

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:27:54 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                              1. @nvrrmbr They weren't even encrypting passwords! Every basic forum does that!

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:29:04 UTC from web
                                            2. @philosodash You keep calling it cyber-terrorism when it isn't terrorism. Terrorism is an act of violence to scare others. Nothing done in this case was violent.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:28:33 UTC from web
                                              1. @swampson Cyberterrorism can be defined as any computer crime targeting computer networks without necessarily affecting real world infrastructure, property, or lives. But in the case of Sony it actually did affect real world infrastructure, property, and lives.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:33:18 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                      2. @swampson That's all a load of bull and you know it. Anonymous is made up of people with their own personal agendas and it's obvious. Someone get mad because they can't play pirated games anymore so they go to anonymous and make a group of people with the similar problem, and then they hack to theirs hearts content nit caring about anyone else but them selves which to me makes them radicals. Also if you haven't done anything wrong that would possibly affect your rights why would you need to protect them? It's not like companies have that sort of power. Only the government does and if you haven't done anything that would risk you losing said rights than the government won't allow some company to infringe on them.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:29:03 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                        1. @extremedash Piracy? Most of the Geohotz debate was because he managed to install Linux onto his PS3, which Sony overreacted about.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:31:30 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                          1. @nvrrmbr They reacted to the fact that through his process you could pirate games which was the biggest use of his hack. So not only is that stealing from Sony it's also stealing from developers. I think what don't did was logical and any company would have done the same thing.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:36:10 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                            1. @extremedash I think that once you've bought a piece of hardware, and the warranty has expired, then it's yours for whatever purpose you want. If you think differently, then shove it up your [Noun]

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:38:32 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                        2. @extremedash Please, tell me you're joking. You should ALWAYS fight to protect your rights, even if you aren't doing anything "wrong". Also, the government bends over backwards for corporations constantly. Do you have any idea how many bills get shot down because of behind-the-door money exchanges?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:33:58 UTC from web
                                          1. @swampson That's a completely different subject! It's silly to even think Sony could get away with something like that! Your rights are something that can't be taken away unless you have done something that's causes you to lose them. Rights aren't privileges And plus how the hell would Sony have the power to do that?! They are a Japanese company that doesn't have any say in what goes on here. Also I'm not saying don't protect your rights I'm saying you shouldn't have to worry about them all the time unless you have done something illegal!

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:43:49 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                            1. @extremedash You should always worry about your rights. Did you forget about the Patriot Act? Just following the stream of worker ants and playing "good-child" your whole life in hopes that your rights will be protected because of it is nonsensical to say the least. Sony itself probably won't be doing anything to harm our rights because they're a tech company, but other corporations will and have in the past.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:46:54 UTC from web
                                              1. @swampson I'm not saying be a good child your whole life I'm saying if your not doing anything like hacking a massive corporations and their products you and things like that you shouldn't be worrying about every little thing thinking that everyone is out to steal your rights. That's why I live in America so I don't have to worry about stuff like that. Plus if you did nothing wrong and something infringes on your rights than you take them to court and fight for them. But you shouldn't start fighting for them unless they are violated, which is what Anonymous did and does which in my eyes makes them radicals.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:55:28 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                        3. @extremedash @philosodash Guys, we're cool right? We're about to get booted but I thought we were having a rather mature debate going on.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:39:16 UTC from web
                                          1. @swampson I don't think my heartbeat has raised any higher than it usual does, no.

                                            1. @philosodash Oh mine did. I LOVE discussions like these. I get rather excited. It's all in good fun though.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:41:56 UTC from web
                                              1. @swampson I've debated and argued so much now that it doesn't affect me, I just enjoy it when I get to debate viewpoints with others in a mature manner.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:44:24 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                                1. @philosodash I agree this debate is the only reason I'm not asleep right now

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:47:19 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                                  1. @extremedash I mean come on. If you need evidence of how cruel and selfish corporations can be, just look at the last few years. The BP oil spill is a great example as well as the big debacle on Wall Street.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:49:10 UTC from web
                                                2. @philosodash I know, that's what makes it so exciting!

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:47:22 UTC from web
                                          2. @swampson Maybe I'm just being overly protective. I didn't want any pony to be getting upset is all. Carry on I suppose. :)

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:42:45 UTC from web
                                    2. @extremedash And I think to call them radicals would be a bit extreme. They aren't irrational, but it isn't like you can just walk up to world governments and powerful corporations and say, "Hey, could you not be so evil and selfish?"

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:21:35 UTC from web
                            2. @extremedash It's pointless trying to convince you, Eh? Oh well.

                              1. @nvrrmbr How can a bunch of nameless, faceless hackers convince me of anything?

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:09:45 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                1. @extremedash Well then, what's telling you that Anonymous is bad? A bunch of faceless Sony corporates.

Wednesday, 08-Jun-11 05:11:16 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
                                2. @extremedash Anonymous' methods can be best attributed to cyber terrorism.

                                  2. @philosodash And what's wrong with that every now and then?

                                    1. @nvrrmbr Cyber terrorism is the same as terrorism, basically. It's supposed to scare people - not exactly something good, per see.

                                      1. @philosodash Yes, but cyberterrorism can be justified with a reason, where as terrorism cannot.

                                      2. @philosodash The "means" in these two different types of "terrorism" are completely different though. No one's life is at stake here.

                                        1. @swampson You're right, no one's life is at stake, but if I'm correct, didn't Anon threaten certain employees? Are you trying to imply this is OK?

                                          1. @philosodash They aren't threatening anyone with violence. There hasn't been a case that I'm aware of where a group of "Anons" have threatened an employee with an actual physical act of violence.

                                            1. @swampson There was news coverage a little while ago over Sony employees being threatened with attacks, with supposedly attempts to attack even Howard Stringer's children.

                                              1. @philosodash But there's no way to link that back to anyone. That's the issue. There's no way to link ANY threats with any of the hackers. That said, mainstream media is the last place I'd go for coverage on anything Internet or Tech.
