@extremedash But there are causes that Anon has backed to protect specific rights that no one else is willing to stand up for. While everyone is sitting around taking everything corporations stick in them, there are people that are fighting for the masses.

@swampson I do not question why Anon does it - surely there are some things Sony needs to fix. However, what I do not support is cyber terrorism, and generally illegal actions against these corporations as a method of attaining that goal.

@swampson Cyberterrorism can be defined as any computer crime targeting computer networks without necessarily affecting real world infrastructure, property, or lives. But in the case of Sony it actually did affect real world infrastructure, property, and lives.

@swampson That's all a load of bull and you know it. Anonymous is made up of people with their own personal agendas and it's obvious. Someone get mad because they can't play pirated games anymore so they go to anonymous and make a group of people with the similar problem, and then they hack to theirs hearts content nit caring about anyone else but them selves which to me makes them radicals. Also if you haven't done anything wrong that would possibly affect your rights why would you need to protect them? It's not like companies have that sort of power. Only the government does and if you haven't done anything that would risk you losing said rights than the government won't allow some company to infringe on them.

@nvrrmbr They reacted to the fact that through his process you could pirate games which was the biggest use of his hack. So not only is that stealing from Sony it's also stealing from developers. I think what don't did was logical and any company would have done the same thing.

Your rights are something that can't be taken away unless you have done something that's causes you to lose them. Rights aren't privileges And plus how the hell would Sony have the power to do that?! @extremedash You should always worry about your rights. Did you forget about the Patriot Act? Just following the stream of worker ants and playing "good-child" your whole life in hopes that your rights will be protected because of it is nonsensical to say the least. Sony itself probably won't be doing anything to harm our rights because they're a tech company, but other corporations will and have in the past.

@swampson I'm not saying be a good child your whole life I'm saying if your not doing anything like hacking a massive corporations and their products you and things like that you shouldn't be worrying about every little thing thinking that everyone is out to steal your rights. That's why I live in America so I don't have to worry about stuff like that. Plus if you did nothing wrong and something infringes on your rights than you take them to court and fight for them. But you shouldn't start fighting for them unless they are violated, which is what Anonymous did and does which in my eyes makes them radicals.

@philosodash But there's no way to link that back to anyone. That's the issue. There's no way to link ANY threats with any of the hackers. That said, mainstream media is the last place I'd go for coverage on anything Internet or Tech.
