  1. Someone just asked me to recommend a good # #; I finally conceded that `do a # for "git config.ff only"' is probably best—because any teacher who doesn't tell you to do that as part of your most basic git setup is probably someone you shouldn't listen to.

  3. phasebook... "Don't worry, he is a docile pervert" and other useful phrases in Japanese and English Get ready to impress/terrify your Japanese friends! Learning a foreign language can be tough. All the new grammar and vocabulary and verb conjugations are enough to fry anyone's brain. Sometimes you just need to relax and learn some fun ways to use the language instead. And one English vocabulary book does just that: "English Vocabulary Not on Any Test." The book has been on sale in Japan for a couple of years now, but it was recently brought back to the attention of the online masses via Japanese Twitter user shunchan, who found it in his school's library. But if you're reading this, then you're probably already pretty good at English, so don't worry—we'll supply you with how to say the phrases in Japanese too. Purely for educational purposes, of course. ▼ The book's cover, in all its glory, complete with a very useful phrase of its own. (Scroll

  17. I would like to share a kickstarter project with you. It's for raising $6500 so a young man can get his first book published on his own without being forced to change his story to suit company publishers. The book is titled "The Origin of Kings" - This link is here if you like to see more information: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1227561517/the-origin-of-kings - There is a video of the author explaining what his book is about. As of posting this, less than 36 hours remain in the kickstarter and he's nearly halfway to his goal - 3036/6500. Up to this point, the project has only been passed about locally by word of mouth to family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. I believe he can make his goal if enough people are made aware of this project in the next 36 hours. Please pass this along, its an awesome story will be worth the read. # #
