!college I had a text-book I kept from the first class I ever dropped. Today, it saved my bacon when I realized the story I was writing about for my final essay actually wasn't printed in the assigned textbook to cite. Funny, though. I own this book from the first #college course I ever withdrew from. English 1102. What am I using this book to pass? English 1102 at another college.

"There are no RPers on currently with exploding bombloons or rapidly expanding shields... I'll take their place withis pump 'n those abandoned clouds. Especially the ones that rumble and thunder. Clearly, the pegasi don't need 'em. " Shortly after, overfilled clouds hovered about low to the ground, looking like steam in taut plastic bubbles. A dragon keeps taking more and more from the sky, filling them with the air-pump, and leaving them around RDN as a surprise for everyone to behold. #Distracted from #College #Essay by the daily !oatmeal

!college pre-finals week sucks. The only thing more bothersome is actual finals week with the stupidly-broken schedules.

@libbylishly Wow, that's kinda awesome. XD I find it amusing that most of my professors who love their subject have the issue of being sidetracked into passionately pursuing a related-but-not-quite-related question if you ask it right after they cover a similar enough subject. It happens the most with my math and physics professors. !college

Scheduling classes for next fall, and strategically keeping Friday 1:30-2:00 clear. Celestia help me if they change MLP's time slot. !college

@libbylishly In the end, I did try. It was half of the required length, and will likely be 0 for missing submission criteria, with a 2.0 at best if the professor's feeling particularly generous when he grades it. !college (The lesson here is: Double check your syllabuses every other day so that important turn-in dates don't slip by unnoticed. )

Should be working on a !college essay right now, but I kinda feel like I can't possibly complete it in time now, anyway. but I guess that's a poor excuse to not try.

!nomnoms I skipped lunch today because I'm too cheap to buy this stuff at !college , but I can't say enough how much I would love to have a cheesy taco right about now. Or maybe jalapeños dipped in cheese and ranch. Dinner's pretty much the highlight of my day at this point. I'm seriously considering picking up a lunchbox to bring sandwiches or something. Do they make MLP Lunchboxes? I wouldn't mind having Spike on my lunchbox. :D

Today is the anniversary of the April 16th, 2007 Virginia Tech Shooting. On that day, Senior Seung-Hui Cho opened fire in two separate locations, killing 32 and wounding a number of others, before committing suicide. While I myself was not a student at the time, a number of my friends were on campus during the event and it's touching close with a lot of them. ~ Spare a moment of your time today for the student body of Virginia Tech, as we take a day to reflect on the past, honor the victims, and push forward. ~ "We are Virginia Tech! !college I'm always amused at how I find registration more stressful a task than finals for courses. I wonder if I just like making plans, but worried when I know I *must* abide the finalized plan without leeway.

@rawkz0rz !college Why is everyone here CS? XD That's my major too. Don't know what I want to do with it for a career though. I'm doing java so I'm sure someone will want to hire me mabye. :P I also want to learn AS so I can make flash games for fun on the side. I already have a list of 15+ game ideas, although some of them might be too intense for flash. XD

!college Trying to pick out courses for the next two terms. Turns out Sophomores get second-lowest priority registration to Juniors. The problem being that I transferred in, so a lot of the courses I need in order to continue are getting promptly filled by freshmen who also need them before I even get a chance to pick. Not really sure what I can do about it though except hope I can do some of the full fall courses in the summer.

@rawkz0rz !college I'm a Computer Science major. Been trying to make videogames for about 6 years, now, but I'm not that great at designing them. X3 Not totally sure what my passion is, but judging from what I do with my spare time and when I'm bored, I seem really enjoy drawing, though I can't imagine myself drawing things purely for the sake of drawing. There's almost always another reason that gets me to draw a thing. http://art.travisuped.com So I'm fairly sure I don't want to change and become an art major or anything. I just like making stuff in general, I think. I have some older games I've made on my site, but I think they're awful. XD

@rawkz0rz - I'm a theatre major! My passions are writing, singing, and analyzing characters. :) Yay !college !

@starshine I think that's good advice, as I do kinda trust my speaking voice more than my writing voice. Shoot, some of the reason I've yet to write a fic is because I don't trust what my writing voice is trying to say. XD I seem to work just fine when I'm describing things I know to be fact, but once I start illustrating scenery or trying to point out a possible interpretation of something that I really don't trust, I feel like I'm lying. Perhaps it's more a struggle with lying that I have than one with words, since to address an issue with speech, one only appends speech to address an issue. In writing, you can go back and wipe mistakes out of existence, destroying the justification for allowing errors. #Rambling !college

!College On a side note, someone should see if they can get a #MLPFiM club on campus or something. That'ld be cool if it worked out.

!college How do you guys normally deal with college level English courses that require several essays? Do you guys do argumentative essays where you have to take a stance and defend it, or interpretive essays? Is there a trick to interpretive essays that I'm missing out on? I'm passing my Eng 1102 course right now, but having a lot of trouble making anything but papers that *I* don't even believe in, and have a C for the course so far. I know I have to do one more ESSAYS EVERYWHERE course before I can get back to the math/theory/analysis/coding portion of my CS degree, so if you guys have any tips, I'm open to them. (Unless you tell me to pay someone else to write the papers for me. I'll listen to the advice, but I would never use that particular tip.)

@magicrussia Thanks for the info - I'll have to give 'em a look here at some point. I go through way too much music in !college lol - Seems I'm always surfing YouTube and various blogs for more.
