  1. @shadowflame Hrm... Metro transit is near my house, personally, but it'd take a good 2-3 hours to get down there and on time. Transferring through Northtown and into Minneapolis, and then taking the light rail. Seems doable easily enough though !mnbronies

  3. !mnbronies Hmm, I myself don't seem to get email notifications when people @ me on this site. Probably the same for a lot of other people, and I can't find any emails in their profiles. Going to be difficult to contact everyone. I suggest we do that @ thing with everyones name and see how many people we get.

  4. @silverglade !mnbronies Sure. We might also try and see if they have their emails in their profiles. If so I can send a mass email to all members.

  5. 6-7 works fine for me as well. Hopefully I can force myself to get up early that day as it's a 3 hour drive to the cities. Maybe I'll head up the day before or something. Anyways, we should have everyone draw a cutie mark on their name tag, for fun! It could be of their favorite pony or something. !mnbronies

  6. !mnbronies @shadowflame Sounds good enough for me. :) So what would be the best way to announce this to everypony in the group? I know I get an email notification if someone puts an "@" tag for my username. Should we just get the meetup where's and when's written in a post and then write tags for all 32 members in it? ;p

  8. !mnbronies I highly suggest the 6th, as the 7th is a sunday and the mall opens later and closes earlier. How does the 6th sound at around 10-11 am? Lego Land before noon because it's easy to find and we have time to do stuff before lunch. Sound awesome?

  9. Again, the 6-7 works fine for me, too c: I think all we really have left to figure out is which one of those days, where in the mall to meet and at what time \o/ !mnbronies

  11. !mnbronies I'm sure we'll find something. We don't even have to decide on an exact restaurant until we get there. I've layed out a basic template of activities for the day, we just need to agree on a set date. Remember, we can't cater the date to everyone's needs, so lets decide on a date that works for most of us. Like I said earlier, I'm up for any date, but I'd prefer an early date so I don't get tempted to spend the money I'm setting aside for this. I'm all for the 6-7 weekend.

  12. !mnbronies Another thing we could do is go to Rick Bronson's House of Comedy. Mike Brody is preforming on August 6 at 8pm and 10:30pm. $19 a ticket. Good Idea?

  13. @gami Rainforest Cafe was good when I went there in the past. i don't have much experience otherwise. Of course, that's sit down. food court wise. there's this pretty good sub place overlooking Nick Universe. idk just suggestions. !mnbronies

  14. !mnbronies @shadowflame Sounds like a good plan to me! Or at least a template to go by. :)

  16. @javadocs Kind of agree. While talking is the best part about meetups, I don't want us to end up splitting into separate groups. I'm thinking we should start off with some lunch, preferably somewhere with a bar (getting buzzed helps me socialize XD). Famous Daves, Rainforest Cafe (that still there?), can't remember what else is there. Then we can do some rides and Nickelodeon Universe, followed by some shopping (KB toys pink isle yay!, and other stores), then we can try to do some more rides, then finish with a dinner. Sounds perfect to me. if there are any smokers we'll have to branch off, but I'm sure a lot of us have phones. !mnbronies

  18. !mnbronies - Yeah, I suppose the food courts may work best because it's more open (imagine if like 20 of us wanted seats in an eat-in restaurant - LOL!) and it offers a bit more variety. The only question then, is which... north or south court? ;)

  19. @gami I'll try to brainstorm some good, relatively cheap (or free) activities. !mnbronies

  20. @gami well i have bean to a meet up at the MOA before (not brony but a different kinda group) and we went to build a bear and the underwater adventure thing and we also planed to go to moose mountain (the mini golf place) and the mirror maze. So these are some fun things to do there. Also we did just settle on the food court because there didn't seem to be any good places to eat around there. !mnbronies

Monday, 18-Jul-11 23:44:13 UTC from web
  21. @meltian Yup, looks like it. The majority seem to want MOA c: @javadocs I completely agree. Does anyone have any activity suggestions? I thought I did when I started replying but ended up not thinking of anything cool orz @rose Hmm... Well, we could eat at one of the food courts, but if anyone has any other suggestions! I don't know the restaurants in the area, since I don't live very close XD !mnbronies

  22. !mnbronies should we go out and eat somewhere before wandering the mall?

Monday, 18-Jul-11 22:59:48 UTC from web
  23. @shadowflame We probably should try to think of some activities beforehand so we don't just end up wandering the mall, lol. Just a suggestion. !mnbronies

  24. @gami So is it definitely Mall of America? Just wanted to know so I'd know what to save money-wise. !mnbronies.

  25. @silverglade Oh it's lots of fun! Taiko, dancers, merchandise booths, sword fighting etc etc This'll be my third time going, so I really recommend it! c: And also, yes, I'm pretty sure 6-7 works fine with me, too \o/ !mnbronies

  26. !mnbronies I'm definitely up for August 6-7. While we can't exactly cater to everybodies needs here, we need to find a date that works for most of us. I'm fine with w/e, but I plan on saving $100 or so since it's the Mall of America, and the sooner we go the less impulse I'll have to want to spend it elsewhere lol. I'd also prefer the Mall of America over Como Park. I'm pretty sure the park wont keep us entertained very long, and has very little in the way of food, entertainment, and shopping.

  30. !mnbronies Wow the coordinate thing in the posts is really innacurate. I live in Anoka, lol. Anyways. one thing for you guys to consider, don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but the accessibility to MoA compared to something like Como Park (Zoo? don't know if they're the same thing place I'm thinking of.) Anyways, just a thought is all.
