  2. after another round of generalizations, id and class name changes and some cleanup, toolbars and navbars seem to be in a good state; now it's time to tackle all the popover boxes, and handle them with a single script instead of one for each (ugh). # # - some # first!

  3. I've done quite a bit of cleanup and reorganization (needed so I can find things back!) - now it must be lunchtime, because I'm hungry! # #

  4. so, a whole set of picture navigation and slideshow navigation and control toolbars/navbars reorganized \o/ just requires some minor sizing/positioning tweaks. # # but I'll fix some # first!

  7. I don't feel happy at all about this! There are enough # SNs out there which should be promoted that we don't get # structures, again. Quitter can be also seen as a nice example for the # # (since Hannes is also on the maintainer team of quitter) but people can also use other SN themes for their servers: http://federation.skilledtests.com/Statusnet_clients.html#server_themes cc @question

  8. great progress on toolbar and popover boxxes handling in my # # - in addition, I learned a lot, too. by now, I'm tired and cold, so I retreat to my #! Good night !tzaf !fediverse! More # # #

  9. most of my general styling (and code refactoring) for toolbars and popover boxes seems to work - now I just need to beat some individual tollbars and boxes into submission :) # #

  10. OK, all changes saved. I'm not going to upload until # when I can see how much I've broken ;) # #

  11. well, nearing the end of my first cut at toolbar/popoverrs retooling - I'm sure I'll have broken some things, so I'm ready for a !beer ;) # #

  12. trying to turn a series of links with lots of conditions around them into a proper unordered list - not so easy! # #

  13. effectively refactoring ALL toolbars and popover boxes, making all code consistent => easier stylig, and opportunities to wrap up some elements into sub-templates # #

    Saturday, 09-Nov-13 22:00:12 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
  14. well, back to # # :) it is (of course) a lot more work than I had anticipated (partly because I'm 'adopting' a few plugins) but I *am* making progress, so I'm not giving up yet!

  15. @mk and I'll have to investigate how to make a 'responsive' variant of a toolbar for small devices # # #

    Friday, 08-Nov-13 19:52:32 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
  16. @mk while I'm at it: setting up some strict rules for structure of and naming things in the various toolbars (and applying them!); there are too many almost-similarly-laid-out toolbars: they need a consistent style through consistent coding # # #

  17. a dozen or so toolbar buttons with a dropdown that each have their own almost-identical JavaScript tied to an id... insane! just one script tied to an appropriate class is enough. # away at my # (and hacking out superfluous code!) \o/ #

    Friday, 08-Nov-13 19:44:22 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
  18. @mk I also love how Geany keeps a 'Tasks' list for me from the @TODO and @FIXME tags I drop in the code (a lot!) # #

  19. My stylesheets and templates are growing in size insanely - mostly due to reams of comments explaining what's what and why, and general strategy. It all gets compiled anyway: compiled versions don't grow nearly as much and may actually shrink by removing (near-)duplicate bits # # # #

  20. ok, now that I have !beer again - back to # # :) (with an energy drink, for now)

  21. now that I have solved some major processing problems, and cleared up all debug code, I can actually concentrate on templating and forms layout again! # # # First I'll have an early(ish) # to celebrate :-D

  22. yippee! finally solved another major problem after a lot of debugging: a stupid bracket put itself in the wrong place! :-/ # # #

  24. good grief - I had not realized that sanitizing and refactoring code from a great but rather sloppily-written plugin would take so much time... but I WANT this, and it MUST fit in with my # # # - guess what? it's !beer o'clock

  26. OK, so this (useful!) plugin has two forms that need to be restructured to fit into my theme. Worse, it also has a link that triggers a popup window with a prompt that needs to be *made* into a form. Ugh. # # # #

    Tuesday, 05-Nov-13 17:16:33 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
  27. *sigh*... this plugin has useful functionality, but the code is horrible and it even uses Flash for (apparently) storing data... # # # (yes, because the plugin's layout has to match the rest o fthe theme) - oh, wait... # I guess. For now I'll just hack. :D

  28. @bijan hot curries and lentils: that means my back has now sufficiently healed that I can stand up at the counter long enough to *really #* again :) all my own totally-improvised recipes, too. And I'm busily hacking a new # for # (based on an old one, with much old-fashioned code)

    Tuesday, 05-Nov-13 13:23:52 UTC from oracle.skilledtests.com
  29. arrgh! I just found more forms - with even more ways for form layout (table, even). I have not even seen these in the UI. :( # # #
