so, Fedora 17 is fully updated (including things like a Fortran runtime that three or so installed programs actually seem to need!?!). Now I wait a bit, as I don't have a decent system yet to make a backup of my current system. Since the furniture of my renovated workspace is basically finished (but for some details for extra cabling), #tomorrow I'll start ordering new #hardware (including dock/cradles to use or test HDs in order to hopefully pull data off them!): that will be a fun weekend: #ihatehardware but #ilikeorderingstuff :D

#hammock time! Even though I didn't do much (being still too tired from yesterday), I did make progress today, and I'm quite happy with the effect of the plants on pole #3 :D #tomorrow I can start on staining the frame of my mini-whiteboard (whcih should be finished by Sunday evening, I hope)

@atarifrosch indeed!! I just finished building the 10 drawers. I'll mount them #tomorrow because I need better light for that (it looks a bit fiddly). But I'm very happy with today's progress. :D

"Upgrading" a little wall rack with three small shelves: the original untreated wood (multiplex) looked nice but by now was badly discolored by the sun, so I'm staining them black. First layer done, I should be able to do the second layer #tomorrow.

Actually putting one of these tables together is ridiculously easy - it's all the rearranging things, and planning and implementing [the first part of] the new cabling scheme, plus going out and buying the required materials, that took up most of the day. yay! operation 'move rack with shelves' successfully completed. #tomorrow I'll have to sort a to of clippings and put them into boxes so they won't gather dust. time for some #dinner and a well-deserved !beer :)
