now that I've set up SSH properly (though further tweaks need to be done) and can also use sshfs, I can directly open and edit files on Hal (NAS) from Nikola (workstation) - trying that out while setting up editor colors in Aptana Studio. #happy \o/ I did a lot of reading today, should do more writing #tomorrow - and #hammock in-between :)

@dragnucs yes, the full message from Git made that clear (at least if you use --global it's one time). It just surprised me, because none of the tutorials I looked at or worked through (at github) even mentioned this! But I remember having to set up my name at least in other SCM systems (at least when collaborating) so it's not strange - it's the tutorials that are strange for not mentioning this (the ones I've seen at least). Anyway, I'm making progress! :) #hal #git more git fun #tomorrow, it's past my bed time already!

pffft, after physiotherapy, training and a little shopping, I've been reviewing editors all day. Feeling a bit dizzy now, so I'll do the last on my list #tomorrow. I'll just relax a bit before I turn in.

well, the FeedWordPress plugin looks promising. Some things don't quite work like I would like, but they can probably be tweaked; one issue is, I think, a logic error (I'll post on the forum #tomorrow) but I'm pretty sure I can fix that for myself anyway. And there are things specifically related to the type of feed I want to import stuff from: a StatusNet/GNUsocial feed. But all in all I'm quite close to what I want to do - so, more fun #tomorrow!

reading Wordpress source code - to figure out how to override the comment form as it is generated, using HTML5 instead of XHTML, for instance. There appear to be several ways to do it (not counting changing code - that is not the WP way. Not "doing" much today, apart from learning a lot - but not enough to clearly write down what I'm doing. I made a *lot* of progres today; it was hard work, but also fun. So the Wordpres site on Hal (NA) is coming together and I already have a ton of stuff to write up. @mk ...and slowly, slowly, am I getting this nice #NAS box called Hal a bit more under control. Lots of riddles and #frustrations today, but also #learning, #discoveries, and #progress. In all, a good day (in spite of seemingly having a cold!). And more things to figure out #tomorrow. Like: *which* changes that I made *actually* made cron start writing to a log file? and: how do I replace a @reboot crontab rule because BusyBox doesn't support it? There are probably 2, maybe multiple ways... #hammock, for now!

@tobias I wih *you* a wonderful long weekend, but there isn't one here. oth, I'll be away for a short vacation (in Drenthe) together with my friends, starting #tomorrow, and I'm *really* looking forward to that! I'm not even going to bring a camera - I need rest most of all. That means reading, hiking, maybe cycling & helping taking care of the animals left in our care (cats, rabbits and chickens) :D
