@clacke my tablet is minimally used, in original box, and a 64GB model (not / no longer available in NL); at €159 it's much less than retail 16Gb model in NL. I've found in France 64Gb is easily available and there are discount/marketplace sites but while I can read the French I would find it hard to negociate: so in NL and with 64Gb the €159 is a good deal. (I also think VAT is lower in France than in NL.) It should arrive #tomorrow. (Then I'll have to locate a case/sleeve (possibly on my local market!) and a good screen protector.)

by now it's too late to go to SAIL Amsterdam, so I'll do that (only) #tomorrow. Might as well go on with selecting & ordering hardware (after a small break) :)

It's still raining, and will be #tomorrow most of the day. Also, it's quite chilly in here: first time in many weeks that I'm using a plaid in my #hammock. :-(

after a lot of sorting and puzzling and trying to fit things, I've managed to pack all my #tea in 9 boxes: 3 large cardboard boxes for tea in unopened packages and tins; 3 large metal boxes for (mostly) opened packages; and 3 mediam plastic boxes for mostly open packages. The large boxes are on a shelf in the room, the plastic boxes find a place next to the spices cabinet. I'll try to post pictures #tomorrow :) (feel free to remind me!)

anyway, I'm off to my #hammock: I'm getting sleepy, and #tomorrow I have to go for 'dental cleaning' (don't know what the term is in English, actually) and I want to be well rested, as anything that involves someone doing some procedure on/in my head is quite stressful to me

@zoowar the whole of the broccoli, both crowns (flowers) and stems. Nthing wrong with eating flowers :) but the soup turned out delicious! eating a second helping, and there's some left for #tomorrow

I thought I was missing something... I seemed not to have some recent issues of #NewScientist (too preoccupied with things like #househunting to really notice). So just now I went through and sorted my stacks of 'read' and 'not fiished reading' issues and found that I miss at least 4 (or 5 if you count the 25 July issue which may not have landed in NL). I'll have to send an email and ask for the missing issue #tomorrow! They're good at sending them when you missing something but I've never missed so many!

Reading the news in my #hammock: lots and lots of festivals & other events (as well as flights) have been canceled #tomorrow because heavy storms are expected. Those drops I felt getting off the tram may have been the harbinger of much worse...

*finally* finished viewig my checklist... not helped by a series (I think) of small bugs in Libre Office. Designing a sheet with checkboxes is NOT fun. Now for some food and a !beer, and then I need to figure out how to get to the first house to be viewed in time #tomorrow. :)
