  1. # I'll reach my goal of 2,000 words tonight, then call it a night for writing. My standard set for myself is to not write unless I can write at least 2000 words or more, so that I can make legitimate progress. Obviously when I get to parts more planned out I'll set higher goals, but for now I think I'll get good results if I set myself to 2000 words every time I edit what I have.

  2. # I may have a prototype of my first chapter ready by tonight or tomorrow. I just had to go back through my first few pages of writing to correct all the present tense to past tense. Darn you, RPing!

  4. # okie so according to le research, short stories are 7500-17500, whereas average novel length is typically anywhere between 60,000-100,000, numbers much smaller than I thought. Anyhoo, 60,000 words is a lot of writing! Can anyone even endure reading about ponies for that long? I mean, wouldn't there be a breaking point in which the reader claims, "the words are just too sweet and colorful; I must now kill a goat to balance out the excess magic and friendship?"
