To the #YouTube issue, if you still need content from there, I'd say, don't switch it off completely just yet: you can obtain the data from them, but not by their means of ads and nonfree javascript. #youtube-dl works wonders if you plan to keep the video afterwards, and I wrote a script that combines #mpv and #tor to enable you to stream a video anonymously. Couple that with a search engine like #searx that scrapes results from YouTube itself, and you never ever have to land on that site again. But I guess that, on a moral plane, the right thing to do really is to ditch YouTube content forever. .

I'm extremely amazed that Google actually has their speech recognition + auto translate feature on #YouTube visible to end-users. It has _exclusively_ given me jibberish on the occasions I've tried it out. Try this out for example:

Big Brother oder soOokeey, das ist jetzt gruselig ...Ich habe hier einen alten Laptop, den habe ich platt gemacht und mir dann ein Archlinux darauf installiert, keine Cloud-Dienste, Firefox-Sync ist nicht aktiviert.Gerade eben habe ich im Firefox (uBlock Origin https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/ ist installiert und aktiviert, Cache, Cookies und so werden beim beenden gelöscht) in einem neuen Tab das erste mal #Youtube aufgerufen und es erscheinen Vorschläge, die zu den Sachen passen, die ich mir in den letzten Tagen mit meinem Smarphone oder Tablet angeschaut habe, spooky ...Das kann doch nur an meiner IP, bzw. daran liegen, dass ich alles über meinen Internetzugang zu Hause gemacht habe, oder? Sollte ich viellecht doch die Kameras abkleben ;-)? Fragen über fragen. Man gut, dass ich nichts zu verbergen habe (das war jetzt bitterböse Ironie!). (Hier sollte jetzt ein Emoticon mit irrem, wahnsinn…
