  1. @techdisk Unfortunately I cant take you down the drag strip (car is too fast for passengers) but even my other COMPLETELY non car friends liked it. Everyone is really friendly and you get to see some cool cars go really fast. Sometimes even see jet powered cars!

  4. @techdisk Nice. Well, if you just want to see it, text me and you're welcome to check it out and I can show you the things I've changed. Or if you want to come with me in the summer to the drag strip, let me know. I'm an extremely cautious driver. Don't know if your parents will be okay knowing that its fast enough that it needs a parachute to stop while at the drag strip. LOL

  9. @techdisk Yeah but I'm not interesting or fun to talk to about anything smart. And I'm lazy. Also I'm stupid. Yeah.

  10. @techdisk Lol. Lambo's are nice looking, but slow as. My convertible would take it without breaking a sweat.

  11. @techdisk Ty's pretty cool. His friend looks cool from the drawing. You can think I'm cool I guess but you'd be dead wrong.

  12. @techdisk Yessir. Reason being, next year, the car will be fast enough to make a Bugatti/Ferrari/Lamborghini look like its standing still, literally. Did you see the youtube video of my car last year?

  13. @techdisk Actually, it turns out our biggest hit will be "B-Side That Was Supposed To Be Some Throwaway Song To Accompany Our Big Single And Ended Becoming Our Most Popular Track"

  16. @techdisk For the street, I use an air filter. When at the track, I have to install the parachute mount and replace the headlight so I dont collapse the air filter.

  17. @techdisk I use track tires on the street with all wheel drive, and it will burn out all 4 wheels while on the highway while yawning.

  18. @techdisk Yup. I bought that intake. Want to get an idea of how big my new turbo is in its diameter? Stack 2 pop cans on top of each other and add some bit on top of that. I wouldn't put my hand infront of it while spooling even on a dare.

  20. @techdisk No, one of my friends recently experimented with the stuff in order to get some coding done and we were making jokes about it all day so it's just kinda been on my mind.

  21. @techdisk Careful --- Straustroup's personal site reports that that very interview is a hoax. Me and a relative were fooled by it once too! http://www.stroustrup.com/bs_faq.html#IEEE

  22. @techdisk C is, in fact, the predecessor to both C++ and C#, which are both mostly supersets of C. C++ has access to all of C's functionality via the <c*> headers, but has automated garbage collection and an OOP system. I would argue that idiomatic C++ and C# are higher-level than C, and Java is around the same level as idiomatic C#.

  26. @techdisk I could be wrong about the order- just know that while it seems like they're related C++, C and C# are all very different languages. I do know that C++ is the lowest level commonly used language.

  27. @techdisk whereas C is all like printf.

Friday, 05-Dec-14 16:56:59 UTC from web in context
  28. @techdisk C++ is much lower in level than any other common language. C is higher than Java/C#
