@dashieismylittlepony Of course you are, you are uncertain if it is the right thing to "get out of the closet". I don't know your people but do you think they would make that much of a deal of it that you have to be afraid? It is just a TV show and when you can show that it is not your typical little girls show , it most likely is just the "loonieness of youth" for them...

@dashieismylittlepony Well, there is one misconception you might want to avoid. Generation one to three were very different and for many older people, this is the MLP they know. So you might also look up some videos which show how awesome the show is.
