!calgarybronies @conjure Love it! We could make smores as well, and if some people don't like hamburgers we could also cook hot dogs that way! If you didn't mind bringing a bag of charcoal that would be perfect, I talked to a lady on the phone and she said she would try to make sure that we have dry wood for the fire pit, but we will need charcoal for the BBQ for sure. I'm going to check things out this Thursday or over the weekend just to make sure, I've been to some BBQ's at this park before but I've never organized one so I'm still figuring out what all we will need. But I'll get back to you on that shortly! Yay! I'm getting excited about this though it should be fun. Too bad about Darcy though, I was hoping he'd be able to get it off :(

!calgarybronies @asylum1113 BBQ is September 9th at the Bowness Park, picnic site 6. We have the area reserved for bronies from 3:15 until 9:15, although you can stay as late as you wish. Most people sound like they are coming between 5:30-6ish. I myself will try to be there earlier to set up (I work too though so not sure how early, will be aiming for 430-5). If anypony else wants to come early to help that would be great. We can also make a list of who is coming and if they are bringing anything closer to the date. You should totally come as I've never met you! And friendship is magical ect.

!calgarybronies @moneybags BBQ is still on assuming you bronies still want it to be :) I just got back into the country from my trip to San Diego, so my brain is a bit tired from the overnight flight over (can't ever sleep on planes), but I'll post a reminder and details about the BBQ later. Probably near the end of the week, but until then hopefully enough bronies will be able to make it to the BBQ on September 9th. @phoenixswift Yes, thanks for posting the google doc, I think it was just to far from the date. Might be better to post it like the week before?

I think prizes are fun too, I'm not competitive but its a fun incentive. @puzzlemint I'd recommend avoiding the over priced gross zoo food! I've packed a lunch when going to the zoo before, if I know I'll be there all day. I hope by good hippos you do not mean you consumed hippo! haha

Oh yeah and game wise maybe at some point we should play pin the tail on the Pinkie Pie. @autumnfrost I looked up "Canterlot Luna" on ebay, looks like a cute buy! Luna is pretty cute, poor poor pink Trollestria though.

!calgarybronies @darcyblue Ok called this morning and got it all settled, it will be September the 9th and arrival time I'd say aim for 6pm. It will be in bowness park at site 6. Here is a map of the different sites http://www.calgary.ca/docgallery/bu/parks_operations/bowness_map.pdf Also I was told that if site 5 (which is bigger and comes with a shelter) isn't booked we can take it. I wanted to book a site with a shelter, but they cost over 300$ so that wasn't happening haha. If you can't come until later that's fine! If anyone could make it there around 5:30 to help me out that would be cool too! Maybe we could try to set up an informal guest list later, so I know how much food to bring. Its just over a month away so I hope that might give some of you leeway to juggle your schedules so you can make it. Also sorry I didn't realize its so far for most of you! Hope you'll still come!

!calgarybronies Wow! Sudden explosion of postings! Soo...I will try to book the BBQ for September 9th or 16th. Lets say the meetup time will be 6pm, latecomers are more then welcome, just come! !calgarybronies Gah! So booking the picnic site for Saturday and Sundays might be difficult. Would anyone be able to do a BBQ Friday evening, or will people be working? There are many Fridays available 3:15-9:15. On Sat and Sun the only time slot is 1:00-2:45.

I'm looking at late August up until mid September, and I'm going to book it at bowness park. *****Before I do so, is there any weekend that people ABSOLUTELY CANNOT make?****** If so please post and I'll so my best to accommodate. If you have preference for Saturday or Sunday also feel free to vote, and the time that I can book the site is from around 2-9, I think but I'll double check. !calgarybronies Hey everypony! (oh goodness, how I love saying that) So a while back I noticed mention of a bronie bbq, which sounds really fun! Maybe we could try to do one on a weekend that doesn't fall on the Sentry box meet up. But the thing is I started looking into it and it seems picnic sites are booking fast. So who would be interested in a bbq, and should I maybe try to book one? I'm looking at bowness park if that's ok with you guys. I feel like we might as well take advantage of the warm weather while we have it. Opinions?

!calgarybronies @sterlingpoint Well said sir! Kind of refreshing to hear someone saying alcohol wouldn't improve the experience. Not that I'm against drinking, but I find it silly how some people think that you need to be drunk to have a good time.
