@scribus What's actually interesting about FFVI is that holistically it doesn't have a single main protagonist, and Terra is only really the center of the narrative for the first half while the second half devotes more focus to Celes.

@northernnarwhal There's a lot that's interesting about FFVI, but yeah, the strength of pretty much every character but Umaro is high up on the list. :p

@scribus It's definitely my favourite Final Fantasy game, if solely because I felt it has the strongest writing and characters the series has seen. Not that I dislike the overt worldbuilding narratives of later games, but I felt the more non-linear and character driven narrative of FFVI to be all the more compelling.

So after you see the tree lady in Okamiden and the village is all frozen, the theme starts sounding exactly like Dino Crisis and IM FREAKING OUT about walking around now. !vgp

@mushi I must admit it would of been better suited for a console or held in the works till the 3DS. It's lack of features compared to the prequel on PS2 is hard to get used too. Actually, I think I just miss the full motion of a thumb stick the most. ^.^;

I watched a few episodes of Attack on Titan this morning. That show's weeeeird. And not a whole lot of it makes sense.

@mrmattimation A lot of it makes more sense in retrospective to future episodes, even with its sort of cliffhanger ending to its first season. I enjoyed it though, for the most part it actually managed to live up to the ridiculous hype surrounding it and I have to give it credit for that.

@scriboos I agree... Also when I think of "Generation defining things" I think of things that are probably remembered some generations over. Is the Wii going to be remembered for things like Wii Sports and it's crazy WiiMote antics ? The answer, very well likely. Is minecraft ? Hells no, since it is not bound to a generation by any stretch of the immagination. Will heavily story driven games, or games with a really special "newish" attribute ( GoW and Mass Effect ) be remembered across generations ? Probably not. And finally cash-cows like Call of Duty ? Heck no, it's going to be milked to death and then everyone is going to remember it like a nasty cold sore, especially if they keep making them near annually. The biggest first games that have something innovating that works really well will be remembered in my eyes. So I have high hopes for the Occulus Rift for instance, I need something "fresh" before something like a videogame is going to get me real exited ever again methinks !vgp

I just finished Sleeping Dogs ( again ) ( right in time before bed TBH ) but this time I noticed something odd. Why didn't some people get proper burials ? I mean, I avenged his death. But you'd think he'd at least get a ceremonial burrial and a proper headstone ( ) !vgp
