https://youtu.be/G6wlpkOSLI0 Modified Chitose's basic attack to look more like something Haruka would've learned through observation. First two hits are Chitose's regular rush combo, but the third is now an edited version of Kiryu's Dragon style high kick.

@zeldatra second hit is also slightly changed in that it now launches for a slightly flashier looking hit as originally it lacked impact. I'm told this makes it impossible for enemies to dodge mid combo which is probably why RGG didn't do this to begin with but they already were not dodging mid combo very much so i don't personally think it changes the balance too much

The state of Linux desktop environments for old hardware (i.e. ASUS EEE PC 1000H) is abysmal. I love KDE but the current version is unusable. The same goes for GNOME, which is furthermore hampered by being unusable because of UX reasons. Even the "classic" Gnome is horrible performance-wise. MATE is a tad better but I don't like it. The only real choice I have is XFCE. It is fine with a huge GNOME-influenced asterisk. I'm looking into Enlightenment but it also irks me a lot.

@adiwan Unless you aim for full minimalist, there really has been a lot of UI bloat of late
-
@scribus I want to keep it conventionally usable. I'm not going fool hacker-mode by using one of the many tiling window managers. Right now I got Enlightenment to behave and runs well enough for now. If all my patience is gone I'll go to Windows XP.

It is wild to see someone walking out of a supermarket with a cart filled to the brim with fireworks.

The Wipeout soundtrack slaps. I mean the futuristic racing video game series. It went instantly to my favorites playlist.

with only a single change, Somersault Leg is now the funniest move in the game. http://rainbowdash.net/url/876683

Squid Game 2 is quite a good continuation. It sucks that it ends on a cliffhanger and thus feels like half a season. A third is announced and it's great but right now it doesn't feel as satisfying to watch as it could be.

Scumbag 3rd party seller on Amazon. I ordered a book and they said it was out of stock and they are asking me to cancel the order although they have also the function to cancel the order on their side. Further more they are impersonating Amazon. I did not cancel and reported that.
My current problem is that the book is not available anywhere.Friday, 27-Dec-24 19:22:30 UTC from web -
It's the end of 2024 and I ordered 2GB DDR2 RAM. I have a EEE PC 1000H but it has only 1GB. I had to downgrade because the RAM went to another machine that was gifted. It was fine at that time because I didn't use the EEE PC. I want to revive it to power my cheap-ass Chinese CNC router. With the roadside found display it might work quite well. I have a piece of wood I want to engrave for displaying my house number and name and need something to operate the CNC router without hogging my main laptop.

I dread tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day it is legal to buy fireworks in Germany. This year the advertisement for fireworks is amped up threefold to what I used to see.

Enjoyed and recommend "War of the Rohirrim," though it was maybe paced more like bingeing a miniseries than watching a movie

Life lesson: It's easier to solder two stacking PCBs together via pins than to remove all that solder to disassemble. I got a new solder sucker and it sucks. I mean it is not very good. That solder sucker is an iFixit solder sucker and i'd give it a rating of 2.5 out of 5 stars. The nozzle is way too big for 2.54mm pitched pins and the suction action itself is a little bit too weak.

@adiwan Get one of those solder stations that have both and an hot air pistol, they're only like $100 nowadays.

Kaito now has three moves/combos from Lost Judgment as job skills in Infinite Wealth; “Ruffian’s Kick”, which admittedly was Ichiban’s first before the move got reused as Kaito’s basic heavy attack; “Tank Combo”, which is his light-light-light rush combo for Tank Style; and “Kaito Rocket”, which is his upgraded dropkick he uses if you hold Triangle in the Kaito Files. They all have fully functional QTEs and everything. I’m getting kind of good at this for a guy who’s learning everything through trial and error!

It’s a little weird that one of the most well-known and revered Christmas films of all time came out twenty years ago and stars Will Ferrel, right?

Alright, I can import models, I can enable and disable outfits, reassign skills, edit jobs, import new animations and change the properties associated with those animations, and even make my own if I need to. To substitute being unable to switch stances, Kaito has a move called “Tank Combo” where he uses the animation for switching into Tank style, does an X X X combo, then restances back into Bruiser, and for brevity I created a small new animation for him to re-enter that stance rather than playing the entire switch animation. Time to lock in.

Good that some relatives are easy to please with board games. My cheap board game haul that I accumulated that I got for only 15€ per game in average is shrinking at a good pace. Even better that almost all of the games are 3 to 4 times the price now. It definitely alleviated the pressure to find *something* and something *inexpensive*. This year I spent something like 30€ per person at max, close to 20€ in average.

Cloned Ichi’s dropkick properties for Kaito’s Kaito Rocket move, then forgot to change the active frames so it missed every time. WHOOPS.

Tanimura and Shinada are in the “probably not” category since they don’t have Dragon Engine models so I would have to convert them and all of their animations from Y4 and Y5. Tanimura would be easier than Shinada since iirc Sayama reuses his moveset in Kiwami 2 but neither would be very easy.
